The government is seeking feedback on a new bike regulatory system to increase monitoring of AFAC's bike removal services, promote more timely and reasonable bike rack planning, and reduce chaotic bike parking in Delft.

They are used to scan streets for information for a variety of purposes. Delft is doing a test with cameras paired with computer vision models.

We spoke with one government official, two removal workers, and one rider to narrow down our goal with a comprehensive vision.

Underreporting is typical because of the randomization of fine lists, which involve different times, different inspectors, and variable cycling conditions.

ITERATION INSIGHTS

We tried our prototype with two clerks and gained some observations. However, due to time constraints, the iteration will be carried out in the future.

DATA VISUALIZATION: Put The Blue Data in one scale

Clerks have a significant workload with 10-scale visualization. To make their data search process easier, we decided to update the blue data (bike within racks) in one scale to simply display the existing parking zone, which is already a good reference for clerks when planning.

DASHBOARD: Combine Map Visualization with Dashboard

The map visualization on the entry page is too hazy, and they were at a lost. They chose Exploration 3 plus Exploration 2, which allows them to discover targets with a dashboard and write solutions on a map.

Test and update with your clients as early as possible

Before beginning design, it is best to clarify and explain the client's requirements to avoid disagreements when the design draft is completed. At the same time, requirements may change from time to time, thus keeping up to date and communicating is essential.

Data visualization should keep simple and efficient

It is not always a good idea to display all of the information on the screen, especially in a complex operation involving data. Designers should prioritize all types of data and only present what users require.
